Richard has been supporting athletes with personalised training programmes for over 20 years now and firmly believes that a programme which is tailored to your goals and lifestyle is the best strategy for success.
He will arrange an initial conversation with you, either in person or online, or sometimes via email. He will establish your aims and discuss your running history along with other relevant details such as work and family commitments.
A training programme will then be put together for you along with a contract for you to sign. You make an initial payment and the first section of your training programme (normally 6 weeks’ worth) will be sent to you. Regular feedback is key to the success of this relationship. You are asked to drive this as it is important that you take responsibility for your development. A weekly email is normally sufficient with phone or zoom calls periodically for a more detailed review.
